  1. Allied Stores bought The Fair of Texas in 1961. Its Dallas and Arlington stores were rebranded as Titche-Goettinger and the Fort Worth stores were sold subsequently to Monnig's.

  2. I should clarify...Allied sold The Fair's suburban Fort Worth stores to Monnig's. I believe Monnig's downtown Fort Worth store opened in 1925. Monnig's ended operations in 1988.

Im looking for pictures i took as a little girl at the photography studio at the monings downtown Ft.Worth..There has to be some sort of archives or films or something somewhere..I would really love to find them..Any information would be helpful.Im even thinking of hiring a private investigator..From bk in the 70's

  3. I should state that this information is "under construction" and I plan to put "The Fair's" downtown store here since I illustrate the ones that went to Titches on that page, and will show the ones that went to Monnig's here-Bruce
